Enthusiastic volunteers from I Can Foundation organised the Swachh Bharat - Clean India Drive, which inspires people to maintain a clean and healthy environment around us at various working regions as part of our environmental protection campaigns. Clean India is not an appeal only for manual scavengers and workers, but has appealed to all citizens of the country. The 'Swachh Bharat' initiative by the Government of India has given the message of cleanliness to people in every corner of the country, which helped to broaden this message. Along with external hygiene, the I Can Foundation also aims to focus on taking care of sanitation in the homes we live in: sanitation facilities should be built in rural areas and open defecation should be avoided . Generally people do not have proper toilet facilities in slums and rural areas. This practice creates hygiene problems for the citizens. Therefore, this Clean India initiative can greatly help in raising the standard of living of these people nationwide.
